Welcome to the

Malden YMCA

The Malden Y strengthens the foundations of our community through well-being and fitness, camps, family time, swim, sports and play, and other activities for people of all ages, incomes and abilities. We’re more than just a place to work out. At the Y, we help build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all with the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility at the heart of everything we do.

With a commitment to nurturing youth development, promoting healthy living, and fostering a sense of social responsibility, the Y ensures that every individual has access to the essentials needed to learn, grow and thrive.

Our YMCA is a volunteer-led public charity 501(c)(3) that works collaboratively with community partners to improve the lives of children, adults, families, and the entire community. Our purpose is to strengthen and enrich the development of individuals and families through quality programs and services that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.

Integral to everything that we do are our core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Our Y serves people of all backgrounds, ages, capabilities and income levels, providing financial assistance to those in need.

Encouraging, supporting and improving healthy living habits, among our members and throughout the community, are central to our purpose. Our work also focuses on youth development through a wide variety of programs such as child care, teen activities, day camps, swim lessons, organized sports, and parent-child adventures.

Financial assistance may be available for you and your entire family to join, thanks to the generosity of our donors. The Y uses 100 percent of donor contributions to provide financial assistance for members and to subsidize a wide range of mission programs. Our goal is to provide financial assistance to anyone who needs it to participate.

How we are funded:

YMCA funding is generated from membership and program fees, individual and corporate donors, foundations and grants. The Annual Campaign raises money for financial assistance and three of our mission initiatives to ensure that no one is turned away for lack of funds in an atmosphere of inclusion and support. The expansion of local facilities is done through the YMCA Capital Development Campaign, contributing to the health and well-being of residents throughout the surrounding areas.

Organizational Structure:

The Malden YMCA is a nonprofit organization governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The YMCA Board of Directors sets policy and oversees the financial integrity of the entire facility.

The Y is committed to providing programs that build a healthy spirit, mind and body for all. We make every effort to ensure that no one is turned away due to inability to pay. Click to read more about our financial assistance.
