Various School Aged Child Care Positions available
Group Leader, Unit Leader and Specialists The Malden YMCA SACC Program is seeking individuals that can work with School Age children in a variety of activities such as homework/tutoring, sports, cooking, and crafts. All staff help develop the program curriculum through activity themes, traditional as well as specialty and work to help children achieve their potential. The program is separated by age an divided into 4 Units. Each Unit has a Unit Leader, Groups Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders. Specialists supplement each unit. Desired specialties are for music, art, karate or dance. Qualifications: v Available afternoons*, are friendly, have patience and can work well as a team member. v Develop and run age appropriate activities. v All positions must meet the state EEC qualifications including but not limited to Criminal Record Check, verification of experience and references. v Have good communication skills. v Schedules are flexible. The program operates afternoons 1:30pm-6pm and school vacation weeks and summers 8am-6pm. Compensation: Assistant Group Leaders - $8-$9 per hour depending on experience Group leaders - $9-$12 per hour depending on experience. Unit Leaders - $10-$14 per hour depending on experience. LIFEGUARDS
This energetic outgoing applicant will be responsible for all aspects of Welcome Center Member Services including: membership sales and registration, program registration, inbound phone calls, responding to member questions and concerns.
The Welcome Center Service Member must be:
A team player with an outgoing, friendly personality and strong basic computer skills
Adept to multi-tasking and remaining focused and friendly during high volume periods
Gifted to communicate clearly with members, guests and staff and respond
appropriately during an emergency
A high school graduate or equivalent
Able to work 3 or more shifts per week
This position is non-exempt part time. Pay rate is $8.50 - $9.00 per hour based on experience.
